In this guide you will learn how to access and use the Graphs of a device in Leanheat® Monitor.
To open the device graphs, navigate to the "Devices" tab, select a device, and click "Graphs" above the flow diagram (the second tab from the left).
Graph modes
There are four graph modes. You switch between them with the "Graph mode" button above the graph, which opens the "Select graph mode" window:
"Periodic": graphs with periodic readouts, which are stored every 15 minutes.
"Live": graphs based on live data. New values are added to the graph every 10 seconds for as long as the graph stays open.
"Service log": graphs showing data from the device service log, which is stored on the controller itself. Available for ECL devices only.
"Consumption": a graph displaying consumption values by periods.
Live data is not available for standalone meters, and the service log is not available for devices that are not connected as ECL, so you will only see the modes that apply to the selected device.
Selecting the values to display
The values shown in the graph are no longer picked in a menu on the right hand side. Instead, the top bar above the graph shows "Selected sensor" with the values that are currently displayed. Click that entry to open the value selection window, where you can:
tick the values you want to see, section by section, or use the select all option of a section,
change the colour of a line,
switch a line between solid and dashed.
The window lists everything the device delivers: the readouts of the controller, your configurable inputs and virtual measurements, and the readouts of the connected meters.
Click "Confirm" to apply your selection, or "Close" to discard it. At least one value must stay selected.
The values are grouped by measurement type. Each group is drawn as its own chart, and the charts are stacked below each other so that, for example, temperatures and pressures each keep their own scale. Moving the mouse over one chart shows the values of all stacked charts at the same point in time.
Choosing the period
For the "Periodic" and "Consumption" modes you choose the time frame with the buttons below the graph: "Day", "Week", "Month" and "Year". The top bar shows the currently displayed period next to "Selected periods". Use the arrows on both sides of it to step to the previous or the next period, or click the period itself to pick a specific one.
In the "Service log" mode you select the readout range below the graph instead: 1 hour, 6 hours, 1 day or 3 days back from now. The range starts at 1 hour, and loading a longer range from older data can take some time.
Working with the graph
The buttons on the right hand side of the graph area let you:
"Zoom in" and "Zoom out" on the displayed period,
"Reset zoom" to return to the full period,
"Fullscreen" to expand the graph to the whole screen ("Periodic" and "Consumption" modes),
"Export" to save the graph as a PDF report, including the selected period and the selected values.
Presets
A preset stores a set of selected values together with their colours and line styles, so you can switch between different views of the device without selecting the values again. The presets are shown as buttons above the graph, starting with "Default". Click a preset to display it.
To create a new preset, click the "+" button next to the last preset. The "Add new preset" window opens, where you enter a "Preset name" and select the values the preset should contain.
Each preset has a menu behind the three dots next to its name:
"Edit": change the values, colours and line styles stored in the preset.
"Rename": give the preset a different name.
"Delete": remove the preset. The option is not offered when only one preset is left.
