In this guide you will learn how to connect an ECL 296/310 in Leanheat Monitor.
Before you start, the ECL 296/310 must be connected to the internet with an Ethernet cable to your internet gateway. Check that the Ethernet settings on the controller match the network it is connected to, under "System" - "Ethernet". Confirm whether the IP address has to be static or is obtained automatically by DHCP from the gateway.
To connect an ECL 296/310 firstly make sure that the "ECL Portal" setting in the ECL is turned "on". The portal url that comes preset on the ECL already points to Leanheat Monitor, so you do not need to change it. These settings can be found on the ECL directly or by using the ECL tool. If navigating directly on the ECL the settings are found under "System" - "Portal config".
In "Portal config" the "Portal status" line shows the connection state. "ONLINE" means the ECL has reached the Leanheat Monitor cloud. By clicking on "Portal info" you will be presented with the serial number and the access code which are needed to connect the ECL to Leanheat Monitor.
Inside of Leanheat Monitor navigate to the "Admin" tab, open "Device Administration" and click "Connect" which is in the upper left corner, then select "Connect ECL" from the list. Leave "Device type" set to "ECL-296/310", input the serial number and the access code you got from your device into "Serial number" and "Code", and click "Connect".
The device is instantly visible in Leanheat Monitor, but it can take a few minutes before live data appears and up to 10 minutes before the first reading is stored.
