In this guide you will learn how to read the SWC Performance Report in Leanheat® Monitor: how to choose a heating season, what the two graphs show, and what the results figures mean. The figures per device and heating circuit are in Reading the SWC Detailed Report.
The SWC Performance Report is the overview of what Smart Weather Compensation is achieving across your enrolled devices. It is visible to every user role, but it only ever shows the devices you have access to. Administrators and designers see the whole account, while the other roles see the devices assigned to them, and every figure in the report is calculated from that set. If your totals differ from a colleague's, this is usually why.
Choosing the heating season
All SWC reporting is organised by heating season, which runs from 1 September to 31 May. The season currently shown is displayed at the top left, for example "Current season: 01.09.2025 - 31.05.2026".
Use "previous season" and "following season" next to the graph to move between seasons. The seasons available to you depend on when you first enrolled a device, so if you have started recently you will only have one.
The SWC season is fixed at 1 September to 31 May and cannot be changed. In particular it is not affected by the "Season Start" setting under "Admin" and "General settings": that one governs cumulative consumption reports such as Season to date, not SWC.
The savings headline
Above the graph you see the estimated saving for the season so far, for example "Savings between Sep 2025 and May 2026: 7.7%". This is the estimated saving on space heating across all included controllers. While a trial is running, a forecast for the end of the trial is shown as well.
Average Monthly Flow Temperature
The main graph shows two bars for each month of the season:
The grey bar, "Flow temperature, normal", is the average flow temperature that would have been used without SWC.
The red bar, "Flow temperature, SWC", is the average flow temperature actually used with the SWC offset applied.
The gap between the two bars is the effect of SWC in that month. A larger gap means a larger offset was applied, which normally happens in milder and sunnier months.
Estimated monthly savings on space heating
The panel on the right shows the estimated percentage saving for each month. Values marked "Realized" are months that have already been measured. Values marked "Forecast" are the remaining months of the season, estimated from the average historical weather at each controller's location together with how that controller has performed so far.
Results
Underneath, the "Results" panel gives the figures in two columns: the latest available month, and the whole season since it started.
"Included controllers": how many controllers contributed to the figures. The season column is an average, because devices can be added or paused during a season.
"Average flow temperature reduction": how much lower the flow temperature was on average, in °K. It is shown as a negative number because it is a reduction.
"Estimated energy savings": the resulting saving in percent. For how this is derived, see How SWC savings are calculated.
The device list
The panel on the left lists the enrolled devices with their name and address, and a status indicator for each. At the bottom you see how many devices are currently Active and how many are Paused. You can collapse the panel with the arrow on its edge to give the graph more room.
If some devices are paused or have failed, a tooltip points it out and asks you to contact your administrator for details. That is because pausing and removing devices happens in the SWC Device Manager, which only administrators can open.
Exporting the report
Use "Export" in the top right to produce a PDF of the report. The export includes the list of devices the figures are based on, under the heading "Included devices".
When there is no data yet
A newly enrolled system does not produce a report immediately. Depending on the stage you may see one of these:
"No report available yet" together with "Collecting the data. This may take up to 2 days", while the first measurements are gathered.
A message that SWC is activated and running successfully, and that the first report may take up to several days to be calculated.
A note that the SWC feature is active but you need at least one active device to gain benefits and view the reports. This appears when every device is paused, or none has been enrolled yet.
Remember also that nothing is collected outside the heating season, so a report will not fill in over the summer.
When the trial has expired
If your account was on a limited trial and it has ended, the report shows "Trial has expired" and asks you to contact your local Danfoss sales organization to extend it. The report becomes read only and all devices are paused, but your historical data stays visible.
