In this guide you will learn how to set up filters for areas.
Area filters narrow the list of areas down to the ones you care about. Once saved, a filter can be reused across Leanheat® Monitor rather than only in the area list.
Creating a filter
Navigate to the "Areas" tab in the top menu. The filters are listed next to the area search bar. To create a new filter click the "+" symbol next to the existing filters.
Enter the filter name, then open "Advanced settings" and set the criteria the areas are filtered by. When you are done click "Add new filter" in the top right corner.
Filter criteria
- "Area name", matches areas whose name contains the text you enter.
- "Area location", matches any part of the area address, so a street, postcode, city, region or country all work.
- "Area tags", the tags entered on the "Details" tab of each area. An area has to carry every tag you select, not just one of them.
- "Status", filters by the state of the devices in the area: "Alarm", "Offline" or "Connected".
- "Schedules", filters by the type of shared schedule the area has: "Daily schedules" or "Holiday schedules".
- "Features", filters by whether the area is enrolled in "Smart Weather Compensation". This criterion appears when Smart Weather Compensation is enabled for your tenant.
The criteria you set are listed as chips below the filter, so you can see at a glance what the filter is matching on.
Editing a filter
To edit an existing filter click the filter, then click "Show advanced settings" on the right side of the screen. Click "Save" to keep the changes on the same filter, "Save as new" to keep the original and create a second filter from your changes, or "Delete" to remove the filter.
Where filters can be used
Filters apply to the area list and the area map view. They can also be selected in the "Areas map" widget on the dashboard, to control which areas the widget shows.
Area filters are also available when assigning areas to a user, to narrow the list of areas you pick from.
