In this guide you will learn how to edit the details of an area and how to delete an area.
To edit the details of an area navigate to the "Areas" tab in the top menu and click an area in the list on the left side of the screen. Then open the "Details" tab below the top menu.
Area information
The "Area information" section holds the following fields:
- "Area name", the name shown in the area list and everywhere the area is referenced.
- "Area ID", an identifier of your own. You can enter any combination of letters and numbers, up to 36 characters. The Area ID is shown in grey next to the area name in the area list on the left side of the screen.
- "Area tags", used to create area filters.
The search bar above the area list is not limited to the area name. It also matches the Area ID, the area address and the area tags, so any of them can be typed in to find an area.
Area location
The area location is required to see the area on the map. Click "Click to search for address" to look the address up, or fill in "Street", "Street number", "Extra", "Postcode", "City", "Region" and "Country" yourself. You can also place the marker by hand with "Manually set pin position".
Click "Save" in the bottom right corner to apply your changes.
Deleting an area
To delete an area first select it in the list on the left side of the screen. Open the "Advanced" tab, and under "Management" click "Delete permanently".
Deleting an area removes its layer structure, any uploaded images and its shared schedules. There is no way to undo it. To confirm, type the full name of the area and click "Confirm".
